Bringing D Up to Speed

Since the last posting, a major event has gone down in the Cannon household. For those that interact with us often, you may be thinking “Oh, yes, Denise got a job.” To those I say, nay, an even bigger event has transpired. eBay has given Denise an iPhone. This single event has created a flurry of activity in Denise’s computing habits all in the name of ‘networking.’

Denise’s Facebook posts have increased. I believe she’s added nearly 200 friends on FB. We’ve created a Google+ account for her. Installed LinkedIn for iPhone. Signed her up for Twitter and posted the requisite geek phrase “Hello World.” http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hello_world_program

In cosmetic news, Denise cut her hair for the first time in 7 years. She is currently going through separation anxiety and breaks down into tears approximately every 5-10 minutes. An actual quote: “I’m going to get pre-natal vitamins so my hair can grow faster.” To ease her pain, I made her cut my hair. Husband of the year = this guy.

To further cement our family’s status in geekdom, I purchase an iPad last night. I’ve since rekindled my love affair with Farmville. Ordered Papa John’s via their app. Reignited my desire to blog via the WordPress app while listening to music via the Pandora app. I’ve annoyed everyone on Facebook by asking “Dear iPad users, what are the best iPad apps?” for which I am truly sorry. The wireless keyboard I nerd-ily asked to receive as my birthday present last year is finally getting put to good use. I very much recommend it for iPad users. It certainly has made my body funk quotient increase this lazy Sunday…

But above all, we are fortunate. We are blessed to both be employed, gaining copious amounts of weight, and being content in our apartment which is ridiculously close to both our employers. Count us grateful for what we have come to love, especially the good people we get to call friends and family.

Now, I just need help kidnapping Anna… ;^)
